A91/1 Precentation of the work group members UBO (Norway) Wants to view the work in Nordic SR-Net in connection with the work on databases like Trip and UBO:Bok, and the development of a common user interface for those. There is discussions on cooperation with USIT. Geir Pedersen will be working on the project from UBO FEK (Denmark) Henrik M. Hansen will participate. The Danish system will be Alba. HI (Iceland) Andrea J¢hannsd¢ttir is observer. She keeps Regnesentralen oriented. The library system is LIBERTAS. If they decide to implement SR, LIBERTAS will do the programming. RBT (Norway) Svein Parnass BIBSYS (Norway) Mainly Ole Husby. Nils Pukstad and Rune Brandshaug will also participate. The library system will probably be BIBSYS II. LIBRIS (Sweden) In addition to G”ran Skogmar, George Zmudka and Arne Nilsson will probably participate. LIBRIS is connecting to SUNETT now, and can be reached by E-mail within short. TKAY (Finland) Juha Hakala is member of the work group. The libary system is VTLS. VTLS will do all programming, and must be informed. BRODD (Norway) Liv A. Holm and Jan Arve L‘greid are members of the work group. Svein Markussen will participate in parts of the project. Trond Bekken (post-graduate student)will probably work with the group from february '92. Statskonsult (Norway) Statskonsult are interested in using SR with non-bibliographic databases, and wants to be observer. A91/2 Board meeting Liv A. Holm reported from the board meeting. JNT have asked to be observers. The board meeting wants to reduce then number of observers, and to assure that the nordic languages can be used on the meetings. A91/3 The NORDINFO Contract The contract with NORDINFO was covered on the board meeting A91/4 Project leader Decision : Liv A. Holm is project leader A91/5 Meetings and organization of the work Decisions :The meetings should be placed like this: Copenhagen 4 meetings Helsinki 1 meeting Reykjavik 1 meeting Oslo 3 meetings Stockholm 4 meetings Trondheim 1 meeting If possible, the meetings will be held on mondays of fridays. Nordic SR-net will pay travel expences for 1 person pr institution. The participating institutions will have to pay for any extra participants on the meetings. All external documents shall be in english. Internal documents can be written in norwegian, swedish or danish. The documents will be numbered SRN-xxxxxxx. The documents will be stored in ASCII-format on av central FTP server. Geir Pedersen takes the necessary steps to establish this. The communication between members of the work group should go by E-mail, if possible. A91/6 Phases The board meeting remarked that the specifications for the protocol machine, and the API, will have to be revised throughout the project. The work on the specifications has to continue till the end of phase 2. If the project should use external experts for development, this will be decided when the work group has developed enough competance to evaluate the tools in question. The use of external consultants should be restricted to well defined, and minor parts of the development. Decision : The english name of the project is Nordic SR-Net. The name should not be abbreviated.
