The Flash Point has all the response of a 747 trying to fly an aerobatic competition...which makes it a real challenge, although usually not a very enjoyable one. I do still keep it in my bag however and even fly it occasionally if for nothing more than an example of what kinds of kites to stay away from. Ironically, my other 2 line diamond kite is also a Spectra Star. It's the 'Rainbow' stunt kite and flies excellently either with 2 lines or with both tow points attached to a single line and a tail added. It also has a ripstop nylon sail and is slightly smaller than the Flash Point. It would be really great if those kinds of kites were made in larger, more powerful sizes. Would anyone here know of any larger 2 line diamond kites, preferably those requiring at least 150# lines when flown as a single without a train? Also, are there such things as 2 line controllable Rokkakus? ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Wed, 16 Aug 1995 10:34:12 -1000 From: sc5@prism.gatech.edu (SPC) Message-Id: <40tko4$7f0@acmex.gatech.edu> Organization: Georgia Institute of Technology Subject: Re: Larger 2 line Diamonds In article , Ouisie wrote: >Also, are there such things as 2 line controllable >Rokkakus? No, but it is an interesting idea. A quad configuration might work better. A Symphony (I believe that's it) is shaped similarly to a rok, but has the sides arc cut away. And it is flat also.
