Subject: Outboard Standoffs?


Someone posted maybe a week ago saying that they'd fixed the infamous 
Sam's club Sky Rainbow kite by adding 'outboard standoffs.'  In my 
infinite wisdom, I didn't take down the email address of the poster.

So...I'm interested in two things:

1) If you were the original poster, drop me a line describing what you 
did to fix this kite's ailments (We now have two in my family, and would 
like to make the most of 'em). 
2) If someone would be so kind as to explain to me what outboard 
standoffs are, and how they differ from *regular* standoffs, I would be 
much obliged.
