Description
-----------

This program (Advanced VBA Password Recovery, or simply
AVPR) can be used to recover lost or forgotten passwords to
view and edit Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) projects
source code in Microsoft Office 97 and Office 2000 documents.
In additiona, it can unlock protected Excel add-ins.

Requirements
------------

- Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT 2000
- about 600 kilobytes of hard disk space

Usage
-----

The program is a GUI application; you can run it bu just
selecting the "Advanced VBA Password Recovery" menu item from
the appropriate program group created during installation.
Alternatively, you can double-click on "avpr.exe" in the folder
you've installed AVPR to.

The main program window is quite simple, and contains just a few
buttons and status Window.

To open the Office document for password recovery, press the
"Open document..." button (the left one). If the file you've
selected is a valid Word 97 or Excel 97 document (or template)
which contains password-protected VBA code, the following
information will be displayed in the status window:

12.11.1999 13:38:17 - Trying to open 'F:\normal.dot'
12.11.1999 13:38:17 - Found the password: 'xyz123'

Please note that unregistered version shown only first three
letters of the password. To see the complete password, please
consider purchasing the full version.

If selected file is Office 2000 document, the original password
cannot be recovered. However, AVPR can change that password to
any other one you like. Almost the same for protected (locked)
Excel add-ins: AVPR can remove the protection so the source code
will be visible. These features are not available in unregistered
version, though.

If the file is not a valid Word/Excel document, or doesn't have
a password on VBA code, an appropriate message will be displayed.

Registration
------------

This program is distributed as shareware (look at "license.txt"
for details). Being unregistered, it shows only first three
chars of the password for Office 97 documents, doesn't unlock
protected Excel add-ins, and doesn't support Office 2000
documents.

After you register (look at "order.txt" for details), we'll
send you your personal registration code. To enter it into the
program, just press the "Register" button on the main screen;
the program will display the small window dialog asking you to
enter the code. If the code is correct, AVPR shows the message
that it is registered now, and so since than will show all
characters of the password.

Please note that your registration will be valid for all future
versions of AVPR -- it means, that they will be free for you.
