 Usage
~~~~~~~
    The programs of Mini Shut Down Utilities are developed for the
    fastest operation, which means they DON'T ASK ANY QUESTIONS before
    you leave Windows.
    The following table summarizes the functions of MSDU:
    Program             Function
    WinHib.exe          Hibernates Windows          (if supported by Windows)
    WinLock.exe         Locks Win 2000/XP based workstations (not work for NT 4.0)
    WinLog.exe          Logs you off                (network required)
    WinOff.exe          Shut down Windows
    WinOff_F.exe        Force Windows to shut down  (*)
    WinRes.exe          Restart Windows
    WinRes_F.exe        Force Windows to restart    (*)
    WinSus.exe          Suspend Windows      (power management must be enabled)
    WinSus_F.exe        Force Win to suspend (power management must be enabled(*)
    (*) The asterix marked programs FORCE Windows to quit, so use them
        CAREFULLY. Using them can cause the applications to lose
        data. Therefore, you should only use them in an emergency.
    NOTE:
    !! Old versions of Norton Antivirus reports the W95.Spawn.cmp
    !! virus in the program files. Of course, it is a FALSE alarm
    !! unless other virus scanners report the same virus.
 FAQ
~~~~~

  Q: How can I create a shortcut for MSDU?
     How can I shut down/restart/suspend/etc. Windows from the keyboard
     using MSDU?
  A:
     Creating a shortcut:
         1. Right click on the Desktop, select New->Shortcut.
         2. Press 'Browse' and locate the MSDU program, which is suitable
            for the task you want to do (eg. WinOff.exe for shut down).
         3. Name the shortcut and finish this operation.

     Linking to the keyboard:
         4. Right click on the shortcut you have (just) created, and select
            'Properties'
         5. Activate the 'Shortcut' tab and go to the 'Shortcut key' field.
         6. Press the keys you wish to join to this program. This should not
            be commonly used, so try to use CTRL+F12 or CTRL+ALT+~ to avoid
            conflicts with other programs.

  Q: How to run program(s) before Windows shuts down/restarts/etc.
  A: If you use MSDU the easiest way to run a program before leaving
     Windows is to create a batch file containing the program you wish to
     run and the appropriate MSDU application.

     For example, let's assume you want to backup your \Data directory and
     shut down Windows. To accomplish this task you need to type only two
     lines:

     c:\Programs\Backup\Backup.exe \Data -auto
     c:\Programs\Winoff\WinOff.exe

     The first line executes the Backup.exe file with two parameters (which
     are specific to each application) and the second calls WinOff.exe to
     shut down Windows. To make these lines understandable for Windows,
     you need to save these lines into a text file having .BAT extension
     (eg. shutdown.bat). From that point, you can backup and shut down
     Windows by running the created batch file.
