Note: You may reassign most function keys yourself, by using the commands
to bind and unbind keys to functions. You might, for example, have your
function keys arrayed across the top of the keyboard and wish to experiment
with alternatives to the DCT default assignments, which are ergonomically
practical for function keys on the left of the keyboard. The relevant
commands you need to do this are:
   Esc..K Bind key to function
   Esc...Ctrl-K Unbind key from function
Ctrl-X ? Describe function currently bound to key
   Esc..X Execute named command
Esc..X describe-bindings Compile complete list of key bindings
For example, if you wanted to bind the character to Alt-U rather than, or
in addition to, <F5>, you would get a list of the named commands which your
version of DCT currently recognizes, by typing Esc..X, then at the prompt,
describe-bindings, then press the <Return> key. Having discovered that the
named command for is "insert-umlaut", you would then type Esc..K, and at
the prompt, type:
     insert-umlaut <Return> Alt-U (hold down <Alt> and tap "u").
Similarly, you could bind the "save-file" command (Ctrl-X Ctrl-S) to the
currently unbound <F2>, reverse <F6> and <F7>, change cursor keys, etc.
