                           *** OMEGA Editor ***
                               Version 1993

                                               "Ex nihilo, nihil fit."

Well, there is not much to say in a World full of various kinds
       of PC-based text editors.

First of All : This IS NOT a "ShareWare","FreeWare" or "Any-Other-
Ware" Program, and no one will ever ask you to pay for it. It is
distributed FREE (=:quite cheap indeed). It is a "Public Domain"
Program. Fill free to use it, or give it to friends. It's okay!

IMPORTANT: THIS SOFTWARE IS DISTRIBUTED "AS IS". THE AUTHOR WILL
NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, WHICH MAY OCCUR DURING USE
OR ABUSE OF "OMEGA" EDITOR PROGRAM.

The platform I use to create OMEGA, was the Public Domain small
       z ("sz") Tom Zimmer's editor.

I believe the use of OMEGA is simple. Just press [F1] "function
key" and get a full list of available commands.

The files that you will use/create will have the standard DOS-ASCII
format, limitted in size to about 60 Kbytes.
According to my opinion, this is a good size for a not-so-simple-
-and-structured program, written in a number of computer languages,
or for simple, plain text files.
That is, if you don't prefer programming in COBOL, or any other
       alike language.
If you wish to rewrite "War and Peace", or something like that, I
don't advice you to use OMEGA.

The DOS executable file is OO.COM.

Verify that you are in the same directory with OO.COM file, or
that you have a proper path.

To use editor, at DOS prompt write "oo" (without "), and press
[ENTER] key. Another way : Write "oo <a-file.name>" (without "
and replace the <a-file.name>, with the name of a ASCII file).

Note: 'ASCII-files' are those with just plain text, as this one.

I choose the letter "OMEGA" - that is the last letter of Greek
alphabet - for naming this editor, for two good reasons :

          (i) I have not use this letter anywhere in the program,
(ii) I like to do so!
Also I believe it is a quite rare editor-name.

What I like more in OMEGA is its small size (and flexibility?) !

Since I am not sure that I have create the perfect program (=:yet),
       I will wellcome any comments.

Lastly, from this point I wish to thanks my Professors in the
University of Piraeus, and specialy Prof.N.Alexandris for his
       valuabe suggestions.

Due to this is a non-profitable project, version update should
not considered certain. Anyhow, I will try to support and future
       versions.

If you wish, e-mail comments to INTERNET address
                                     <anikol@leon.nrcps.ariadne-t.gr>.
       Bye!

       Andreas Nikolaidis.
