        - Thank you for evaluating Taglinator! -

 1. HOW TO INSTALL

Run "Taglinator 3.01 Setup.exe" to start the Setup
program. Setup will initially install Taglinator as an
Evaluation Version. If you purchased Taglinator, you were
provided with a Registration Key and instructions for
installing it.

Setup will wait for InstallShield to finish, then delete its
temporary files. You may notice a pause after InstallShield
finishes before Setup exits; this is normal. Please do not
exit the WinZip Self-Extractor, it will close itself once it
is finished.

If you do not yet have a Registration Key, you will see
only one notable change in the program from the full
version. When pasting a tagline or signature from
Taglinator into your software, a one-line message will be
appended to the tagline indicating this is an evaluation
copy. This message is not present once you register.
Other than that, both versions are effectively identical.

 2. HOW TO OBTAIN A REGISTRATION KEY

If you decide you like Taglinator (and we hope you do!)
please contact SRT Enterprises to purchase a Registration
Key. Registration will encourage future development of
Taglinator and other programs. A lifetime registration
is available, providing free upgrades in perpetuity.

 3. TAGLINE CONTENT WARNING

In recent years many organizations have been policing
their computer systems to discourage what they consider
offensive material. Although the taglines included with
Taglinator are intended to be humorous, it is possible
that some individuals may be offended by some of the
content, and even though we have tried to weed out any
profanity or offensive content users may add taglines at
will, which is beyond our control. You may also easily
delete any taglines you wish to remove from Taglinator's
database at any time.

Remember that according to the License Agreement and
Disclaimer all responsibility for the use of this software
lies with the user. Accordingly, we have made it very
easy to preview any taglines used before any messages or
files are sent.

 4. GETTING STARTED

When you first run Taglinator, its help file will open to a
"Welcome" topic. This screen contains information that
will help you get started using Taglinator. You can find
your way back to this screen later by clicking the
"Welcome" topic in the help contents. Reading through
this topic will provide you information on using Taglinator
most efficiently. Do not worry, it is very easy to use!

 5. TECHNICAL SUPPORT

SRT Enterprises offers free, unlimited support via e-mail
to registered users, and also to unregistered users during
their evaluation period. If necessary, registered users
will receive preference in both support response and when
considering requests for new features or modifications. If
you find you have a problem that cannot be resolved by the
online help, please connect to the Support section of our
web site:

 http://www.srtware.com/support/

You can also connect to this site by using the
"Help->SRT Enterprises Online" menu in Taglinator.

 6. FILES INSTALLED BY SETUP

Setup installs Taglinator's program and data files in a
directory you specify. The files installed are:

 Taglinator.exe
 Taglinator.hlp
 TagForms.dll
 Taglinator.gid
 License.txt
 Readme.txt
 Taglines.txt
 Taglines from v3.01.txt

If you are upgrading, Setup will NOT OVERWRITE your
existing tagline file. See below for details.

 7. REINSTALLING

When reinstalling Taglinator over an existing installation
Setup will overwrite all files except the tagline database
(Taglines.txt). To reinstall the original Taglines.txt file,
either uninstall Taglinator or delete or rename that file
before reinstalling. Or, a copy of the original file is also
installed as a versioned filename (Taglines from v___.txt)
with each version to facilitate importing new taglines. Copy
this file over your Taglines.txt file to revert to the
original contents.

If you have purchased and entered a Registration Key, you
will not have to re-enter the Key after reinstalling.

 8. UPGRADING FROM EARLIER VERSIONS

If you are upgrading, Setup will NOT OVERWRITE your
tagline file. Simply install Taglinator 3.01 over your
earlier version. When you first run this version of
Taglinator, the program will offer to automatically import
new taglines into your tagline database. This operation
may take quite a while, as Taglinator comes with almost
1,800 taglines! When upgrading, your current tagline
database is copied to "Taglines backup.txt."

 9. UNINSTALLING

Please see the topic "Uninstalling Taglinator" in Taglinator's
online help for details on cleaning up any files that are
unable to be removed by the automatic uninstaller.

10. ERRORS DURING INSTALLATION

If you see a "General file transfer error" which references a
file in your temporary directory, such as "_setup.1", please
make sure you are not exiting the WinZip Self-Extractor
installer stub before Taglinator Setup is complete! If you
do so, that will delete the installation files prematurely.
The stub will clean up its own temporary files and exit
automatically once Setup is finished.

11. CONTENTS OF THE ZIP FILE

The ZIP file containing Taglinator's Setup program contains
the following files:

 Readme.txt
 License.txt
 Taglinator 3.01 Setup.exe
Taglinator.xml (PAD-format file for software distribution)

If the file you received has been altered in ANY way we
highly recommend you download a "clean" copy from our
web site:

 http://www.srtware.com/taglinator/

This helps insure you have received an unaltered copy of
the program, and that it is not being distributed illegally
(see License.txt for details).
