WHAT IS IT?

Cache View is a viewer for the Netscape Navigator, Mozilla, Firefox,
   Opera, and Internet Explorer caches.

You can open the cached files for viewing, and copy or move them
out of the cache. It will even reconstruct the names and directory
paths of the files for you. Cache View can also export the cache
listing to a CSV file for importing into databases or spreadsheets.
Cache View makes emptying the files in the cache easier than ever.
The intuitive Windows interface makes Cache View easy to learn
   and even easier to use.

Cache View supports all versions of Netscape, Mozilla and Firebird.
Cache View also supports Opera version 5 and above.
Cache View also supports Internet Explorer version 3 and above.

Cache View extracts the following information about cached files:
URL, Size (in bytes), MIME Type, Last modified date, Date the file
was downloaded, the Expiry date, and HTTP recieved headers.

Cache View is a 32 bit Windows program, and requires Windows 98,
   NT, 2000, or XP.

WHATS NEW?

The latest major version provides the following enhancements:
    - (Registered Users Only) Fixed a bug which caused the Opera
browser to appear in the list of installed browsers, even
      when not installed.
    - Fix buffer overrun error that caused invalid access exception
when trying to copy/move a file where the filename was
longer than the maximum allowed filename.
    - Enabled the use of XP Visual styling. Everyone likes the
bling-bling, right? Unfortunatly with this change, the
column headers can no longer show the sorting arrow. Perhaps
they will return with a later version.
    - Changed the default value of the "Decode default cache on
      startup" option to be True.
    - Fixed a bug that caused a crash when reading unknown bad data
in Firefox caches. This may result in missing cache items,
but at least it doesn't crash.

REGISTRATION

Cache View is a "feature limited" shareware program. This means that
you may happily use the program for as long as you like without
paying for it. BUT, you only have access to the basic feature set.
That is, certain user interface enhancements are only accessible if
   you register.

If you find this software useful, I ask that you register it. I
would appreciate the support so that I can continue to provide
applications to the world at large at relatively little cost.
As a bonus for registering, you get to use the new features from V2.1,
such as support for Profiles, and free upgrades to all new versions which
   get released.

   To register, visit http://www.webcacheview.com/

The registration fee is only US$15. Thats a good deal, trust me.

INSTALLATION

Simply double-click the Cache View installer (the msi file), and
    it will install.
You may have to go into the View->Options menu the first time
you run Cache View to specify your cache directory.
