Chassis            Carbon fibre composite monocoque
                   manufactured by Benetton Formula.

                   Renault RS 08 engine installed as a
                   fully stressed member attached to the
                   rearmost monocoque bulkhead.

                   suspension system located on top of the

Fuel system        ATL rubber fuel cell mounted within

The Renault RS8 V10 Engine and Technical Specification

The Renault V 10 RS8 engine fitted to the Mild Seven
Benetton B196 is the latest in a long line of racing
engines from the championship winning manufacturer. 

Renault is one of only two manufacturers to have won the
Formula One World Championship, the World Rally
Championship and the classic Le Mans 24 Hours. 

Today, Renault Sport employs 150 personnel who, throughout
the course of the 1995 season, built a total of 80
engines.
