The schedule was announced today.  Quick notes:
  
    o  1092 games total
    o  Season runs from October 5th to April 14th 
    o  Playoffs start April 17th
    o  Each team plays 41 games at home, 41 on the road and 2 neutral sites
    o  Neutral sites include:
           Minneapolis : 6 games
           Cleveland   : 4 games
           Phoenix     : 4 games
           Sacramento  : 4 games
           Hamilton    : 4 games
           Halifax     : 2 games
           Saskatoon   : 2 games
    o  Minneapolis' first neutral site game is the Senators vs. (ahem) the
       Dallas Stars ("Who are the ad wizards that came up with that one?")
       The game is on December 6th.
    o  Florida's first game is October 6th at Chicago.  Their first home 
       game is October 12th against Pittsburgh.
    o  Anaheim opens October 8th at home against Detroit.
    o  Dallas' first game is at home against Detroit October 5th.
    o  The Western conference plays 6 games against the 5 teams in their 
       division (30 games), four games against the 6 teams in the other Western
       conference division (24 games), two games against 14 teams in the 
       Eastern conference (28 games) and two neutral site games.
    o  The Eastern conference plays 5 games against the 6 teams in their 
       division (30 games), four games against the 7 teams in the other Eastern
       conference division (28 games), two games against 12 teams in the 
       Western conference (24 games) and two neutral site games.
