FIRST is an international organization comprised of representatives from the computer security incident response teams of various governments, commercial enterprises, and academia. The primary objective of FIRST is to facilitate communication and cooperation between response teams. The exchange of information within FIRST has become more frequent as global networking, connectivity and communications capabilities have provided information system access to virtually every country in the world. The Annual Computer Security Incident Handling Workshop provides computer security professionals with information and training to help them deal with increasingly complex security incidents and vulnerabilities. The primary topic for this years workshop is tools for incident handling in an international arena, and will include tutorials, seminars, discussion groups, and hands-on sessions.
