Yeah, SmartList tries to be a little too smart in this regard.  I set up a
discussion mailing list for a psychology class my wife was teaching last
spring.  One person posted a message with the word "description" in the
subject line and got unsubscribed.  The hardest part of all this was
explaining to non-computer people how this all happened.

Needless to say, I did a swift lobotomy on a few of SmartList's regular
expressions.
