1.   Everything that matches .*mode-line.*
2.   frame-parameters, modify-frame-parameters

	Regarding 1 & 2, a violent agreement (that they should be
	de-obsoleted) seems to be within reach.

3.   x-display-.*

	These should be kept for compatibility with FSF, which is, I think,
	a convincing argument for not obsoleting them.

4. window-system

    This stuff, as Chuck observed, is more controversial,
    because this window-system is indeed obsolete in XEmacs and it doesn't
    work the same way as in FSF.

    Personally, I won't complain if this variable disappears from XEmacs,
    since it doesn't contribute to the compatibility cause.
