No. There is no "*.rej" file.
I applied "xemacs-20.3-b18-20.3-b19.patch.gz" successflly.

# My xemacs source tree is patched up from xemacs 20.3b18 with
# "xemacs-20.3-b18-20.3-b19.patch.gz" file.

I got that error message only once. I failed compiling xemacs only on
first time.
I'v got the error message until I edit "update-elc.el" file as the old
one. (add "(defvar find-file-hook nil)")
After I made up xemacs successfly with modified "update-elc.el" file
and did "make all-elc", the error message disappeared.

Then I can use the correct (It means no "(defvar find-file-hook nil)"
line) "update-elc.el" to make xemacs without error message.

I don't know why I got the error message on first time.
(Almost all of you didn't get the error message with beta19 (patched
up from bate18). Right ?)

And also I don't know why I can use the correct "update-elc.el" to
make xemacs without error message on second time (and now).
It's strange. It's mysterious.
