It's known problem. XEmacs does not support KOI-8 yet.
You could avoid this problem to configure with --error-checking=none
and --debug=no.
Then you'd get ``CCL not found'' message (or something like that) in
*Article* buffer where the KOI-8 used.

Is there any other way to avoid this problem?
