Just for the record, I have had no problems with 0.7 (no core dumps,
at least).  You had mentioned that you run a dedicated XEmacs just for
Gnus; I don't and since I have no need for the new offline mechanisms,
there is little changed from the setup I had for the 5.4.xx - 5.5
sequence.
