Subject: menus misbehaving under 20.3
X-Mailer: VM 6.33 under 20.3 "Bratislava" XEmacs  Lucid (beta18)

I've the following problem under XEmacs 20.3b18 (but was the same with
previous releases. I'm a little behind the latest beta, sorry for
that).
Suppose we select Options|Customize|Emacs and then try to further
select Editing

File Edit Apps Options Buffers Tools
		|Customize|Emacs     |Editing    |
		|Editing..|Group...  |External   |
	        | others  |Variable..|Programming|
                ~~~~~~~~~~|Face...   |Application|
                          |Set..     |~~~~~~~~~~~
                          |Apropos...|
                          +----------+
if the combination of font size/window position/total screen size is
such that the next submenu has to be displayed to the left of the menu
containing Editing/External/Programming... then you can move the
cursor onto the _title_ of the submenu but any attempt to move out of
there results in the submenu disappearing. Selecting entries is
impossible.
All of this with Lucid menubars.
It happens on both Linux/XFree86 and Solaris with the Chameleon
XServer running under Windows 95.
Is this a known problem?
Haven't seen anything on the list, so I don't think it's been fixed in
later betas.
Does it happens with other styles of menubar?
	Maurizio
