Subject: Fnext_single_property_change

I just moved to 20.0b91 from 19.15b90, and XEmacs seems to now enjoy getting
into a state where it chews up 90%+ of the CPU. Attaching to it with gdb
indicates that it's in Fnext_single_property_change at the moment.

Something is making it dog-slow. Do I need to compile --with-mule=no or
something to speed it up? This is painful.

(I'm currently trying to leave a newsgroup in Gnus...)
