It seems that POP doesn't work in XEmacs Gnus, as pop3.el in the Gnus
distribution expects movemail to be POP-aware.

Is there any reason not to simply take movemail.c and movemail.h from
Emacs 19.34, which has the necessary POP support? Ours and the FSF
version of movemail look pretty similar, except for the POP. We could
also add a --with-pop configuration option (actually, it would be the
default, but you could still use --without-pop).

How come VM supports POP in such a cool fashion, BTW?
