Sorry about not being able to provide complete details at the
moment, but it's finals week, and I'm running around a lot.

The problem seems to be that (sit-for 0) doesn't sometimes, so
it can concievable affect anything which does that. With gnus it often
seems to happen when it should also be being woken up from incoming nntp
traffic, I _think_, in addition to the 0 count. That might be another
problem with the improper fd set being select'ed upon.

I believe that I managed to get it to happen in the procompiled
solaris binaries for 19.14 using -q, but seeing as it's hard to
reproduce, I haven't been able to do much there. I've seen it happen in
pure X sessions, although I normally start with 'xemacs -nw' and then
make frames (which I realize could cause all sorts of problems).

Unfortunately I haven't yet gotten it to happen under gdb, but
I'll try some more. Using debuggers with Xt seems to often fix timing
conditions. :/
