Why would we want to do that? IMHO taking code from GNU Emacs leaves
us more time to do features we consider important for XEmacs
development.

This is a question of RMS' integrity. If we were to accept his
conditions, it would be his choice to stop the war, or not. I believe
he will do as he promised. In this case Naggum will be no exception,
unless he wants to oppose RMS, which is improbable.

Not fighting includes sharing the source with GNU Emacs, more often
than not. Not taking potentially good code on the grounds of
accusations of "stealing the code" means accepting the terms of "war".
