You are using XAUTH, and $XAUTH is not pointing to a file with the
magic cookie necessary to connect to your X server.

What happens when you start it `xemacs -q -nw' (one of the Golden
Rules of bug reporting :-)?

I just tried it on xemacs.org with 19.15-b92, and it came up quietly
as expected.
