Which brings as immediately back to another problem, the possible 'merger'
with FSF Emacs.

Will Steve *require* each new package to have all the paperwork signed, so
we will come closer to a completely paperworked xemacs and we'll be able
to merge it with the FSF one later?

Or will we just forget about any possible merger in the future anyway?

Remember - once the paperwork is done, a merger should be easy:
	rm -f emacs-19.35.tar.gz
	mv xemacs-20.0.tar.gz emacs-20.0.tar.gz

Wouldn't it? ;)

Still, I wouldn't know too many packages I'd like to see in xemacs, except
for AUCTeX which has already been sort-of ruled out as a possibility for
xemacs-19.15.
On the other hand, I'd rather vote for cc-mode to again become a
dumped-by-default package. Why did we *have* to follow the FSF on that one
anyway?

As for other new packages, how about making an 'official' poll on
comp.emacs.xemacs as to what users would like to see?
If anyone could point me to some 'vote-supporting' package, I'd even
volunteer to look into it (and if not too complicated) get things going in
comp.emacs.xemacs...

Ideas? Comments?
Praise? ;)

yours,

  Benedikt
