I've experienced this too here recently. Hazarding a wild guess, I
would say it looks like order of widget creation is getting
wonked. Simple redraws and changing number of windows will not rectify
the situation in my experience, but changing window size will. Also:
something that may be related: try starting up without any toolbars,
then using the options menu to make them visible. Not exactly usable,
eh?
