XEmacs got into a state where it would not paste the selection
from Netscape. FSF Emacs or xterm. Button2 (bound to mouse-yank)
did nothing. The "Paste" toolbar button signaled "no selection:
CLIPBOARD". (In fact, it always say no selection CLIPBOARD, so
I'm wondering what you have to do to get it to do anything.)

Anyway, I was reduced to mailing a string to myself to get it
into XEmacs.

After that I dragged out a region in XEmacs with the mouse and
button2 pasted it. After doing that internal copy/paste, pasting
selections from other apps worked again.

If the pasting code is something we can lift whole and screaming
from FSF Emcas, I say let's do it. And for God's sake let's make
button2 and the Paste button do the same thing.
