I was reading mail, and decided to customize the faces, so I pressed
{C-x 5 2}, and then started using the [ Options | Customize ] menu.
When the fram flicks into the *Customize* buffer, the toolbar, which I
have on the left, narrows to fit the standard toolbar pixmaps, from
the VM toolbar that was there when the new frame was created.

When I press the done button, the *Customize* buffer goes away,
leaving the frame filled with the VM-Summary buffer, and a chopped-off
toolbar. It does not resized buffer-locally as it ought to.
