I think this message and the one from Kyle are the first ones that
I've seen (at least since I started working on Hyperbole again).  I'm
happy to fix it, now that I know.

Personally, I don't use VM since I have a lot of specific operational
requirements that it never seems to meet.  I also don't want to have to set
40 variables to get reasonably traditional emacs mail handling behavior.  If
someone has time to volunteer to provide an additional interface that
makes its key bindings and window and frame handling perform like modern
versions of Rmail, I would be happy to start using it.  That in turn
would lead to faster support of interface changes in the Hyperbole
augmentation of VM.

By the way, the mailing list <hyperbole@infodock.com> exists for issue
discussion related to Hyperbole.
