 I tried F1-l too late, and got my typing to create this message,
sorry.

 I had been reading another newsgroup, and clicked the last toolbar
button, to catch up and exit.  I clicked 'yes' in the dialog, and it
went back out to the *groups* buffer.  When I press space over a
group, it says 'retrieving newsgroup', then 'fetching headers', and
says 'creating summary' just before it does this:
