I do have a version of edit-toolbar 1.1 which never quite
made it out the door. It is much more functional than
1.0, but still misses the mark somhow. Come to think of
it, I might not have that version anymore (see the end of
this message).

The basic problem is that people are going to want to use
it to change the VM toolbar, for instance, which is rather
complicated. I have worked with Kyle to make this
possible, but there are no guarantees that other package
authors won't do similar (complicated) things with their
toolbars.

Basically, what we need is a well-defined "define-toolbar"
function which is used always.

I posed a few questions about this to Chuck but didn't
receive any responses. Chuck; I don't suppose you still
have those old emails lying around? I lost a disk about a
month ago that had my whole life on it (including perhaps
the only copy of edit-toolbar 1.1).

Kyle; I didn't send you e-t 1.1 did I?

Thanks,
Pez
