I've opened the 'test'-site without any problems using the following
Installation (my libc is 5.3.12 because 5.4.23 is really buggy -- I think
this is the problem):

uname -a: Linux xover 2.0.30 #6 Fri Apr 11 23:09:34 MET DST 1997 i586

./configure 'i486-unknown-linux' '--prefix=/usr' '--dynamic' '--with-x' '--x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib' '--x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include' '--with-menubars=lucid' '--with-scrollbars=lucid' '--with-dialogs=athena3d' '--with-toolbars' '--with-xpm' '--with-xf
ace' '--with-gif' '--with-jpeg' '--with-png' '--with-database=berkdb' '--with-offix' '--with-sound=native'

Configured for `i486-unknown-linux'.
