I updated the 20.1 final-final tarball last night at /pub/xemacs-20.1/ and
uploaded the two patches to go from 20.1 final to 20.1 final-final to
/pub/beta/xemacs-20.1/. I think we can go ahead with making the
binary kits. I'll probably wait until Friday to make the announcement.

The hold has been lifted on 20.2-beta1 and I'll open the 20.2 source
tree tonight. Expect a new beta sometime Saturday. It will have all
the patches that arrived too late to get in 20.1 as well as a couple
of new packages -- strokes.el and C balloon-help + custom upgrades, etc.

I encourage some patience on requesting new lisp features for 20.2.
Better to make a list of all of the stuff you really want to see and
save it. New lisp files will mostly be integrated as add-on packages
and that's going to have to wait until whatever package mechanism we
use gets going. Exceptions will be made for Lisp packages which are
XEmacs core candidates (like strokes.el).

My goal is to make the XEmacs 20.2/Latin-1 core tarball smaller than
the first release of Lucid Emacs as XEmacs (~9.5MB). The smaller the
better.
