No, I think we can't...   > any guru? (Japanese Linuxer? Ienaga san?)

I used Canna 3.2 which is included in Linux Japanese Extension distribution
version 0.9.8a.  After the crash I have installed the newer one (actually
overwrote the older) and then the word registration (canna-touroku-region)
works well.
(I've tested on two linuxen w/ essentially the same configuration (586/686))
