I'm sure this could 'solve' the dual head problem I tried to explain,
since it will result in a complete separation between 'our' pc-select and
FSF one. I'm not sure this is too much of a nice achievement, but I can
say this setup is better than the original one. One plea, though: please,
leave in (at least) the bindings for cut, copy and paste!
