For the GNUS problems can we regress to an earlier version?  Or
with the antinews do we get worse bugs?

I don't consider GNUS bugs to be showstoppers, given GNUS is not
a core technology.  We can try to fix them, but ultimately we
should not track them too closely unless an interface change we
made has screwed Lars in some way.
