You mean this has worked in 19.14 and earlier 19.15 betas?  I've had
problems like that with ispell since 19.14.  The author of ispell.el
has acknowledged difficulties with the package and there should be an
update of ispell.el & ispell that takes care of that by the time Emacs
19.35 is released.
