Subject: configure & include Motif path
X-Mailer: VM 6.22 under 19.15 XEmacs Lucid

Running HPUX 9.05 X11R5 and Motif
For some weird reasons, i have Motif libs in /usr/lib/Motif1.1 and
also in /usr/lib/Motif1.2. The ones in 1.1 looks like the dynamic
version of the 1.2. I personally think this is s weird configuration,
but since i'm not in the system team, i won't bug them for it.
My problem is that configure detect the dynamic libraries in
xx/Motif1.1 and think that the includes are in Motif1.1, which is
wrong since they are in Motif1.2 !!!
My question is : is there a way to make configure do its real work
finding where the stuff is instead of thinking they are where they
should ??

Btw, to fix this, i edit the Makefiles and change 1.1 to 1.2. But i
can't edit them with vi, which means that someone without a previous
XEmacs version can't fix Makefile by hand, because the lines are way
too long...
Well, May be this is not the right way to fix it, may be i should
check the configure things, but i'm rather used to Makefile but not at
all to configure, so i think basic user would also rather try to look
into Makefile and fix rather than trying to hack configure (aside the
fact re-running configure really takes time...)
Just wanted to notice the long-line Makefile problem.
