Yes.  It's not really a mode.  crypt notes that some translation
is needed for reads and writes.  The end of line encoding for DOS
is probably subsumed by the coding system end of line handling.
Remove the 'dos entry from crypt-encoding-alist if you don't want
it.

I don't think I'd try to edit binaries under MULE, with or without
crypt.  Too easy to forget the coding system argument to find-file
and utterly scrag your file.  If you don't deal with Asian text
all the time, it is easy to forget all about the coding system
stuff... and then it lunges out of the bushes and bites your leg.
