I haven't seen anyone step out to implement such a language -- except
Bill Perry, of course.  We also said W3 was too large to be
preloaded.

Those aren't "widget-based pages".  Simply a different implementation
of about.el -- still kludgy, but an order of magnitude less so than
the old one.

I don't like all the philosophising about adding pictures to Texinfo
and similar, without ever seeing the actual code.  widget.el is
finished, my rewrite is finished and works better than what we have
now.

Once someone implements something better, I'll be the first one to
jump to using it, believe me.
