I noticed it too. If I execute: (read-key-sequence "?") and press
the <--Backspace key, it says: [#<keypress-event backspace>], and if I
run it and press the Delete key, it goes: [#<keypress-event delete>].

So far so good. Backward delete char is bound to delete, I
think... and most other things still think that <-- makes a 'delete'
keysym... Is that right?

*sigh* I still have most of the manuals to read; I should be doing
that instead of reading email. :-)
