This is extremely bizarre.  Please send me the sections of build output
output and config.log that mention canna or gnuattach or libs*.

Oh, I've got it.  gnuattach is a binary left around from a previous
build. Check the timestamps against the other binaries.  gnuattach
isn't built anymore.  Right?
