	First, you must have a copy of the Python interpreter.  The
current version is 1.3, and can be obtained from one of the following sites:

	Building the interpreter is fairly simple; simply run the
configuration script, and then run "make".  Detailed instructions will
be included in the interpreter distribution.  IMPORTANT: You must
already have Python running to build the cryptography modules.  Be
sure to run the "libainstall" and "inclinstall" targets, to install
various libraries and *.h files needed to compile modified versions of
the Python interpreter.
	
	Once Python has been built, unpack the pycrypt.tar file while
in the top directory of the Python source distribution.  The tar file
contains two directories, located at Extensions/Crypto and
Demos/crypto.  Change to the Extensions/Crypto directory and edit
Setup to comment out any modules you don't want to build.  Then run
"make".  A special copy of the python interpreter will be built and
left in the current directory, containing the selected modules.  You
could also copy the source files to the Modules subdirectory, or
prepare them for dynamic linking, if your interpreter supports
dynamically linked modules.

	Copy the *.py files in Lib/ to a Python library directory.
The ftplib.py, httplib.py, nntplib.py, and urllib.py are modified
versions of those distributed with Python 1.3; if you're running a
later version of Python, contact me to get updated versions.

	To verify that everything is in order, run
Extensions/Crypto/test.py.  It will test all the cryptographic
modules, skipping ones that aren't available.  If the test script
reports an error on your machine, please inform me immediately,
because that means there's a serious bug in the cryptographic
routines.  (Or track down the bug and send me a patch.)  test.py also
runs a crude benchmark, and will give you an impression of the
comparative speeds of the algorithms and feedback modes.
Lib/testpk.py tests the public-key algorithms.
