DIRECTORY /pub/culture/beer
===========================

This directory and its subdirectories contains all  kinds  of
material related to beer and homebrewing. Directory homebrew
contains the mirror of sierra.stanford.edu.

For every subdirectory there is a file 00Index which contains
descriptions of the files found in directory. There is also a
file named 00Readme which contains more specific  description
of purpose of that directory. 

In file 00Index.All on the main level are listed all files in
/pub/culture/beer-directory.  Files 00New.DDMMYY contains new
or updated files since date DDMMYY.

Some files are compressed or zipped so don't  forget  to  set
binary mode before transfering files via ftp. Below is listed
all extensions and programs you need to decompress files:

    Extension      Decompressor
    ---------      ------------
          *.Z      uncompress or gunzip
         *.gz      gzip or gunzip
        *.zip      pkunzip version 2.04g or later

All programs can be found from  this same server, try 
directories /pub/msdos/packing and /pub/unix /tools.

Files with extension *.ps are PostScript files and can be
retrieved as plain text.
