R.NEW ZEALAND: received them on 17770 at 0115 UTC in EG with a pop music progrm, then a travel program. R.DAMASCUS: EG to ME 2030 UTC using 15095 with an ID, letters were read. R.KUWAIT: on the now ever-popular 13620 KHz heard 2040 UTC with pop music program. R.TAHITI: in FR 0505 UTC with talk, News, then into FR music. BURUNDI: heard EG from this station 1750 UTC on 6140.1 with the News in EG, FR ID at 1801 UTC. R.IRAQ INTL: heard s/on 0155 UTC on 4750, jamming began at 0159. Following from World of Radio #661 9/26 WWCR, NASHVILLE, TN USA: The "Dr. Gene Scott" programs will be on 13815 from 1200-0100 UTC, and on 5920 from 0100-1200 UTC using a New WWCR East to West antenna array as of Sept.28th. "World of Radio will no longer run Monday's at 2045 UTC on 15690 as WWCR has other programs they plan to run at that time slot. YLE, R.FINLAND: has been annoucing that their morning broacast to NA (3 of them) will move 1 "real" hour later as of Sept.27th, and also making frequency changes 1230 UTC on 15400, 11735, 1330, + 1430 UTC using 15400, 21550. No longer using the frequency of 17800. R.SWEDEN: found a typo in their schedule to Asia at 2130 UTC on 11955 NOT the printed 11995 KHz. (GH) R.FRANCE INTL: sometimes audible on 11 meters around 1400 UTC using 25820 KHz usually the best time of the year for such HIGHER band openings over the Trans-Atlantic path. (GH) POLISH RADIO WARSAW: has a NEW EG transmission from 1830-1925 UTC on 7145, and 9525 KHz. KOL ISRAEL: changes for 1400 S-TH broadcast, GH is only hearing 15650 at 1400, and not other listed frequencies 15640, 17575, 11603, 11587, and 17590. R.JAPAN: a few changes for their frequencies via Skelton relay. 0500-0600 UTC using 7230 (not listed 7280) and 6085. 0700-0800 UTC on 5970, and 6025. 2300-0000 UTC on 6125, 6050 as of Sept. 6th. WYFR, USA: has made a couple of changes for the VOFC, Taiwan, now on 2200-2300 UTC using 11915, and 9850 to Europe. Following from World of Radio #663 10/10 WWCR: World of Radio has been given some changes on WWCR replacing some airings of WoR. The Changes are: Now on Sunday at 2300 UTC using 15690, and again Monday 1230 UTC using 15690 also. (These replace the airings on Sunday 2200 UTC, and Monday 2045 UTC.) GH TWR, SWAZILAND: English is being noted at 0430 UTC on 4 different frequencies 5055, 5965, 9655, and 11740 each is for a different duration, some 1/2 hour, others lasting up to 4 hours. BBCM VOIRI, IRAN: made the 1 hour time shift to wintertime. English to North America now starts at 0030 UTC on 9022, 11790, + 15260. It is reported that 9022 is the only frequency audible here in NA. (Bob Thomas) R.UKRAINE INTL: moved 1 hour later now on to N.America 0100-0200 UTC using 7195, 7240, 9665, 9685, and 11790. They also shifted earlier EG broadcast now on from 2200-2300 UTC using 5960, 7240, + 9785. (Bob Thomas) 9665 KHz is the best frequency coming in here in S.Fla. at 0100 UTC, I would give it a good 444 SIO rating. N.American broadcast now begins at 0000 UTC using the same frequency as does Spanish Foreign Radio namely 9530 causing a real mess there. (Bob Thomas) IRRS, ITALY: is continuing it's omni-directional service using 7125 trying to reach N.America with EG from 0200-0300 UTC, and starting it's regular European service from 0630-0730 UTC also using the same 7125 KHz. R.TIRANA, ALBANIA: has retimed, and lessened it's EG broadcasts but, they have shifted their N.American Svc. 1 hour earlier from their usual time now on at 0130, and 0230 UTC using 9580,+ 11840. Also on at 1530 UTC using 7155,+ 9760, and again in EG at 2200 UTC using 9760,+ 11825 KHz. CROATIAN RADIO, ZAGREB: makes the time change on 13830 now EG news at 2203 UTC with parallel frequencies 6210, 9830, and 5085 after 2245 UTC R.YUGOSLAVIA: is now being heard in EG from 2200-2229 UTC on 6100,+ 7200 KHz. Following from RadioWorld 10/10 R.VLAANDREN INTL: has changed frequencies as of Oct.12th. They are changing from 5910 to 5900 KHz for EG to Europe at 0730, 1000, 1900, and 2200 UTC. The other frequencies they use for EG are not affected. (R.Vlaandren Intl.) VOICE OF GREECE: is now broadcasting to Europe 1 hour earlier, on from 1900-2000 UTC with EG Monday-Saturday 1905-1915 UTC using 7450, and 9400 KHz. R.PYONGYANG: has replaced 13730 with 13785 for EG broadcasts to Europe at 1500-1550, and 1700-1750 UTC, 9325 KHZ remains in parallel. Frequencies directed to Africa at those same times are 9640,+ 9977. R.PORTUGAL: English still to Europe at 1900 M-F on 11740, to Africa on 15250, and from 1530 UTC in EG using 21515 KHz. Following from DX Party Line 10/10 ABC, PERTH: heard on 9610 at 1147 UTC with poor signals, heard ID. (Jim Clair) R.CZECHOSLOVAKIA: received EG broadcast at 2007 UTC on 9605 KHz with a fair to good signal, had on interviews, heard an ID. (Jim Clair) R.CENTRO, AMBATO, ECUADOR: station picked-up on 3289 KHz in SP at 0753 UTC. Poor signal, and noise was heard. They had on announcements, an ID, and slogans. (Jim Clair) RTG, GABON: heard this station on 4777 in FR at 2240 UTC with some announcements, pop music, and an ID. Signals were poor, lots of noise on the frequency. (Jim Clair) VOICE OF NIGERIA: was on with EG at 2027 UTC using 7255 KHz. Signals were fair but, some noise was on this frequency. (Jim Clair) R.SAN MARTIN, PERU: on in SP using 4810 at 0941 UTC. Heard an ID, promos, announcements, and music. Fair to good signal. (Jim Clair) R.EL ESPECTADOR, URUGUAY: received this station on 11835 at 0817 UTC in SP with a Rlg. program. Signals were fair. (Jim Clair) Following from R.Havana,Cuba's DXers Unlimited 10/17 R.HAVANA, CUBA: some of the new frequencies they will use for EG starting Nov. 1st are: 0000-0500 UTC on 6060 KHz, 0200-0430 UTC using 9655, and their SSB frequency will be 6000 KHz. RHC is planning to use that frequency from 0000 till at least 0200 UTC but, may extend it to the end of their EG transmission at 0500 UTC Following from Media Network 10/15 TWR-ALBANIA: TWR has indeed hired airtime on R.Tirana, Albania's transmitters from 2030 UTC daily using 1395 KHz mw. ALGERIAN RADIO, CHANNEL 4: has been started up on 1422 KHz mw. No times were given. R.FIDES, LA PAZ, BOLIVIA: has activatied another SW frequency on 9625 KHz. They also use 6155, and 4845 KHz. The new frequency is running at 15kw of power! WEWN, ALA. USA: has now started low power antenna testing using CW on 21840 KHz sometime after 1800 UTC. The high power testing will start soon. CZECH, AND SLOVAK RADIO INTL: at 0400-0430 UTC have added a couple of new frequencies 11985 to the ME, and 13715 also to the ME. Asia 1215-1330 UTC using 17595; To Afr. 1630-1830 using 15255, Afr. again at 2030-2200 on 15475, and to Eur. 2115-2245 on 9900. R.SOFIA: is now popping up on 6220 KHz in Greek; and is on 6235 KHz to Eur. 1130-1300 on 11630, 11720, 13670, + 17780, 17825 to the ME, and NA. 1830-2000 to Eur. on 6235; 2045-2130 to Eur. on 6235 NA starts at 2245, 01, and 0400 UTC on 9700, + 11720 (Andy Sennitt) SNR, COSTA RICA RELAY: was in operation as of Oct 6th 1800 UTC on main frequency in SP. 5970. Looks like they will use the site for SP only. GUAM: KSDA, and KTWR have overcome the hurricane that hit the island in Sept. KSDA heard EG s/off at 0200 on 15225. KTWR EG s/on 11665 at 0900 UTC in EG. At 1500-1600 UTC KTWR moves EG to 15610. (formerly using 11650) (Arthur Cushen) Following from DX Party Line 10/17 VOA-KUWAIT RELAY: the VOA has given up on trying to establish a relay site in Israel, and instead have come to an agreement with Kuwait. Under the agreement Kuwait will provide the site at NO CHARGE, and provide services such as electicity, and water. In return Kuwait will be allowed to use the facilities for it's own broadcasts free of charge on a "time available" basis. The Site will consist of a MW station as well as up to 10 SW transmitters. R.NACIONAL, ARGENTINA: is now back on 6060 KHz at 0900 UTC with news in SP. Heard well in New Zealand. (Arthur Cushen) R.AUSTRIA INTL: on broadcasts to the S.Pac. 0830-0855 UTC in EG on 15450, 21490. A new broadcast is heard 1030-1055 UTC also using the same 15450, 21490. (Arthur Cushen) R.FREE BOUGAINVILLE: is now being heard on 3870 KHz at 1100 UTC (This is down from former 3880 KHz.) (Arthur Cushen) DEUTSCHE WELLE: EG to the S.Pac now heard 2100-2150 UTC dropping 3 frequencies but, replacing them with 6185, + 9690. Also heard are 9670, 9765, 11785. KIRBATI: has dropped longtime used frequency 14917 now on new 17440 from 0500-0830 UTC.(s/on sometime falls back to 0600) (Arthur Cushen) KJES, NM, USA: received in New Zealand in EG 1800-1900 UTC, and again 2000-2100 UTC on 9510 KHz.
