KSDA: Engineer Gary Batum reports that Typhoon Brian caused no damage
to the station, or the antenna system but, it was thought this storm
would be worse than Typhoon Omar which rocked the island of Guam in
September.

KASHMIR RADIO: is now using a new frequency of 3517 (or 4517 mentioned
boht so don't know which one is correct? Ed.) but, it is not stable.
This frequency is in use 0045-0410 UTC, and again from 1045-1810 UTC

HCJB: is just beginning a MAJOR project (at the request of the
Ecuadorian government) to put on several local MW, and FM stations in 
the jungle communities in the southern, and Eastern parts of Ecaudor.

CROATIAN RADIO: Andy Sennitt of the WRTH reports in that Croatia is
now beaming 6210 KHz in two different directions, one at 125 degrees,
and also at 305 degrees with a power of 10kw. the frequency 9830 KHz
uses an omni-directional antenna with power output of 10kw, and the
13830 KHz frequency is beamed at 270 degrees and using a power output
of just 2kw. (it was noted though that 13830 KHz seems to do quite
well with an output of just 2kw.)

RAI,ARGENTINA: Frans Vossen reports to us that RAI is now starting
it's broadcasts one hour earlier with EG to Europe, and Africa from
1800-1900 UTC on 15345, and to North America from 0100-0200 UTC using
11710. Other language services include ITA from 19-20, FR from 20-2100
GM from 21-2200, SP from 22-2300, (All using 15345 KHz)  and FR to
N.America from 02-0300 UTC (Using 11710 KHz)

R.YEREVAN,ARMENIA: now broadcasting in EG (M-A) 1943-1958 UTC, Sunday
only 1933-1958 UTC. All transmissions are on 9675 (replacing 12065)
and 4810. (also announced but not heard were 6055, +15130) They have
EG again 2243-2258 UTC on 11920, 9450, and to N.America 2343-2358 UTC
using the frequencies of 11920, 12065, + 17660.

R.PAKISTAN: has made a few changes for their afternoon, and evening
transmissions. EG 1600-1630 UTC (to the Middle East) 11570, 15555, 
13685, 17555. (to Afr) 17725, 21495. And from 1700-1800 UTC (beamed to
W.Europe) 11570, 15550 KHz.

VOICE OF VIETNAM: has dropped 15010 KHz for the winter, and now are
only using 12020, and 9840 KHz. Heard in W.Europe at 1330 UTC, 1800
UTC, 1900 UTC, and 2030 UTC All in EG.

UNIDENTIFIED STATION: heard every night for about 1 week, and a half
on 4962 KHz at 0000 UTC in SP with Latin pop music, and possible
mention of the Dominican Republic. Strong clear signal. (Jim Clair)

R.NACIONAL, ANGOLA: in FR/EG on 9535 KHz about 1958 UTC. Poor to
fair signals. Went into EG programming at 2000 UTC after ID in FR.

CRTV, DOUALA, CAMEROON: EG/FR heard at 2218 UTC on 5010 with a fair
signal. They had announcements, ID, and s/off at 2302 UTC. (Jim Clair)

RADIOBRAS: heard in EG at 1200 UTC using 15445 KHz with an ID, and
music. (Jim Clair)

FEBC, PHILIPINES: received on 11995 KHz at 1258 with a poor to fair
signal, much fading. (Jim Clair)

RFPI, COSTA RICA: heard a UN program around 0510 UTC in EG using 15030
KHz. (Don Rhodes)

SUDAN RADIO: first heard them on 9190 at 1850 UTC with EG at 1900 UTC.

Following from World of Radio #665  10/24
WWCR: daytime "Dr. Gene Scott" service did switch to 13840 however,
Saipan objected due to interference into Australia so, WWCR is moving
Dr. Gene Scott again to 13845 sometime after Oct.27th. The schedule
for Dr. Gene Scot will be  1400-0100 UTC on 13845, and 0100-1400 using
5920 KHz, 12160 is no longer being used.

R.CANADA INTL: for peacekeeping forces in Yugoslavia, Somalia, and
Cypress heard 2000-2029 UTC on 11945, 13650, 15140, 15325, 17820, and
17875 KHz. (Probably 1/2 of the broadcast is in EG, 1/2 in FR)

VOICE OF GREECE: EG schedule to N.America M-A  0130-0140 UTC on 9395,
9420, 11645. Again from 0340-0350 using same 9395, 9420, 11645.
Other EG times are 1530-1540 using 15630, 15605, 17525 M-A, and from 
1230-1245 UTC "Daily" on 15635, 15650, 17515.

RFPI, COSTA RICA: has a surprise NEW frequency of 6200 KHz but, this
is only in use for daytime service in SP 1400-1700 UTC. (GH)

R.NEW YORK INTL: is now on WWCR (7435 KHz) from 0300-0600 UTC
Mon. due in part to the time shift, and also due to them not paying
their bills on time so, their hours have been chopped.

WFLA, TAMPA, FL: GH has been hearing their little SW relay more
often now on 25870. He said that this is a good source for the
"Paul Harvey" programs if you are outside the U.S., or you are
in someplace where he's hard to get. Schedule for "Paul Harvey"
programs are: M-F 1330, 1715, + 2235 UTC, Sat.1705 UTC.

RFPI: is moving 7375 KHz frequency (for at least one week test) to
6200 KHz for overnight period. Reports requested on this frequency.

BBC-Relay via S.Afr: Bill Westerhaven forwards the relays for BBC
via Meyerton. 0300-0330 UTC (Swahili) on 11845, 0430-0445 UTC (PT) on
6175, 9515, 11940,  0530-0545 (PT) 6005, 9515, 15105  0700-0730 UTC
(EG) 17790  0700-0715 UTC (PT) 6070, 7230, 9515  1745-1800 (Swahili)
7230  1700-1900 UTC (EG) 15420 KHz.

R.YUGOSLAVIA: Brian Alexander found another frequency for their EG 1/2
hour at 2200 UTC that being 9505 KHz, also still on 6100, 7200 KHz.

R.JAPAN: Media Roundup is back on the Sackville relay because of the
time shift to 0300 UTC on 5960. It is on UTC Sun. 0330. Their
direct broadcast to NA 1400-1600, + 1700, 1900 UTC have changed from
11865 to 9535 KHz for the winter.

R.KOREA: has shifted for the winter to 1130 UTC (via Sackville) on
9650 KHz. Another change for direct broadcast to NA 0600 UTC on
two new frequencies 11945, + 15155 KHz.

EURO-PIRATES: Andy Sennitt says to look from 6200-6300 KHZ for any
of them. He has been hearing some out of Czechoslovakia, one being
"Power Shortwave Radio" on weekly 6295 KHz  1600-2000 UTC. No day
of the week was given?

R.NIGERIA-KADUNA: is testing a new frequency of 3970. No times
were given for the time of the test?

BBC-Tashkent Relay: the BBC has hired time from Tashkent to improve
coverage to India. They are on 7315 (Hindi) 0045-0135 UTC, (Urdu)
0135-0200 UTC, and again on 9725 1410-1415 UTC (Hindi), + 1500-1545
in (Urdu).

good signal.

R.CARACOL, COLOMBIA: picked up in Quito on 5075 at 0230 UTC.

R.ECO, PERU: heard at 0235 UTC on 5097 KHz with a fair to good
signal into Ecuador.

R.LUXEMBOURG: heard here in FR at 0152 UTC with EG pop music up till
0200, then had on news, s-off at 0205.

R.MOSCOW: heard EG news broadcast at 0200 UTC on 7115, + parallel
frequency 7150 KHz. No other frequencies were noted at this time.

at 0300 UTC with the news, music, and ID (Ernest Lawrence)

ELBC, LIBERIA: Ernest Lawrence heard this station at 0652 UTC in EG
with s-on, and news at 0700 UTC.

R AMANECER INTL, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: received on 6025 KHz in SP at
2310 UTC with a fair signal, religious program. (Jim Clair)

R.BUENAS NUEVAS, GUATEMALA: was in SP on 4800 KHz at 1059 UTC
with programming of a religious nature, music, ID. Fair signal.

R.CORA DEL PERU: received on 4915 KHz in SP fair signal, music, ID,
and greetings at 1028 UTC. (Jim Clair)

RFPI: World of Radio airtimes on RFPI include Sun. 0200, 1000, +
2300 UTC; Mon. 0700; Tue. 1900; Wed. 0300, 1100; Fri. 2000; and
Sat. 0400, 1200, 1800 UTC. (GH)

RFPI: GH could not hear them on test frequency of 6200 KHz but,
Brian Alexander did pick them up with a fair signal at 1128 UTC,
and later at 0207 UTC very weak. GH noted they are now back on 7375.

SPANISH NATIONAL RADIO- COSTA RICA RELAY: all in SP at the following
schedule; 2200-0200 to South America on 17845, 2300-0100 to North
America using 21460, 0100-0300 UTC on 15110, and to Central America
0100-0500 UTC on 5970. They are broadcasting Sat. 1830-2100 UTC, and
Sun. 1500-2000 UTC on 17845, 15365, 9745.

R.HAVANA, CUBA: is using 6180 for EG Carib. service at 2200, and
0400 UTC. GH asks "Who is Arnie Coro? He appears ocassionally giving
his prop. report at the end of their SP DX program (Sun.1335-1350 on
11760). In SP but, never in EG he gives a 2nd surname which sounds
like a Slovak name but, haven't quite figured out what it is? So it
makes me wonder if Arnie Coro is part Russian?" says GH.

KCBI, DALLAS: is about to come back "on the air" but, is having
trouble with the transmitter. Originally scheduled to be back on
Nov. 1st. Will be on as soon as they get the transmitter going.
They will be back on 9815 from 0230-1400, and 15375 from 1400-0230
UTC.

KJES, NEW MEXICO: was missing again in early November. GH found out
that capacitors in the transmitters start to burn when they applied
power. The engineer is in Costa Rica because of other obligations.
They have a local engineer is trying to figure out what's wrong.
Whenever possible they will resume schedule as follows:
M, T, W, and F 1300-1600 UTC on 11715, and 1800-1900, + 2000, 2100
on 9510.

HAUSER'S: GH ran across this on an August CBC "Sunday Morning" tape
about Canadian teens. "Hauser's" dress in baggy pants, and sneakers.
They have a distint dance. Mainly their about attitudes. GH further
says "I sure hope they're spelling my name right  H-A-U-S-E-R"
Has GH unwittingly started a movement among the youth in Canada?

DEMOCRATIC VOICE OF BURMA: BBCM gives a possible alternate frequency
1430-1520 UTC on 17840, check 15360 if it is not on 17840.

AWR-EUROPE: has moved it's EG broadcasts 1 hour later now at 0530-
0600 UTC on 15125; and 1700-1730 using 12030 KHz.

R.LATVIA: Hans Johnson heard them announce on 5965 as R.Latvia not,
R.Riga. Three min. of news in EG at 2128 UTC.

KHBN, PALAU: gives schedule for 9830 KHz frequency:
 2000-2330 CH
 2330-0100 ?
 0800-1200 CH
 1200-1430 EG

FEBC, RUSSIA: sends QSLs from an address in the USA at: PO Box 1,
La Nirada, CA 90637 USA

VOICE OF VIETNAM: now on in Russian on FM in Vietnam.
schedule is: 0200-0205 EG; 0400-0405 EG; 1100-1105 FR, and 1300-1305
in RS.

R.PAMYAT, RUSSIA: has changed it's frequency as of Nov.1st now using
7230 KHz instead of the old 12000 KHz. They are on from 1430-1600
UTC only.

RAE, ARGENTINA: moved it's WHOLE schedule up one hour on Oct.18th.
i.e. JP is now on M-F 0900-1000 UTC on 11710 KHz.

Following from World of Radio #668  11/14
WWCR: making two frequeny changes, one already went into effect on
Nov.9th 5935 KHz replacing 5920 for the Dr Gene Scott transmisions
overnight. The other is a change of their daytime frequency 15690
which will shift down to 15685 as of Fri Nov. 20th.  "Crossband
RNI" with "Big" Steve Cole is back every 2nd, + 4th week at 0300 UTC
Sunday on 7435 KHz running 30 minutes (on tape)

HCJB, ECUADOR: their 2nd SSB frequency 17490 is active again during
most of the day.

AWR, COSTA RICA: Don Thorton has heard them FINALLY reactivated on
5030, + 9722.5 KHz  with EG from 2300-0100 UTC, and GH has heard
them around 1220 UTC in EG on 9725 KHz.

CSM, BOSTON, MA: (via Larry Nebron) WSHB, + WCSN are revising their
schedules as of Nov. 17th using a new frequency of 5850 KHz.
WSHB will use it from 0000-0600 for EG, unknown when WCSN will try to
use this frequency.

R.VILNIUS: their NEW frequency for EG to NA at 0000 UTC has been found
that being 7150 KHz, gone from 9530 KHz.

KOL ISRAEL: is now moving the 1406 UTC Monday airing of "Calling All
Listeners" program to Sunday at the same time. Best heard in NA on
11587, + 11603 KHz.

R.NACIONAL DE BRAZIL: received in GM at 1930 UTC on 15265 KHz
with an ID, and fair signal.

R.JORDAN: hearing EG on 9560 KHz with the World news at 1700 UTC

AIR, INDIA: picked up on 11620 KHz in EG at 2106 UTC with commentary

KCBI, DALLAS, TX: GH heard them reactivated on 15375 with tone tests
only. First heard at 1818 UTC, last heard at 2005 UTC. This will be
just another outlet for "Dr. Gene Scott".

AWR, RUSSIA: George Thruman heard AWR from Novosibirsk site on 9835
at 1300 UTC, heard also at 1200 UTC both in EG.

R.ART, RUSSIA: heard s/on at 1548 UTC on 11700 KHz. BBCM also heard
this station on a different frequency, and time 0515-0700 UTC using
11655 KHz.

R.YEREVAN, ARMENIA: on 9870 at 0330 UTC over Austria in EG, and
Armenian. Brian Alexander finds them at 2245-2257 on 7440, 9480
(best), and 12060, again from 2345-2357 UTC on 9480, and 11980.

R.BOSNIA-HERCEGOVINA: heard on 6219.96 KHz after Bulgaria closed
at 2155 UTC, heard till 0105 UTC by Brian Alexander in an unID
language?

R.YUGOSLAVIA: heard EG to NA 0100-0130, and 0200-0230 UTC on 9580.
They also announced morning service to NA to return at 1230 UTC on
17740 KHz.

R.PYONGYANG, N.KOREA: Norm Blakely heard an announced frequency for
NA at 0000 UTC via the frequency 11335. He heard changes from 15115
to 15130 KHz as of Nov.13th.

R.ULAAN BAATOR, MONGOLIA: Alan Dean received this station in EG at
1445 UTC using 11650, and 13780 KHz.

VOIRI, IRAN: Bill Mc Clintock reports excellent reception of EG at
0030 UTC on 11790 KHz, weak on 9022 KHz.

on 15200, to India 1500-1635 UTC M-A,and 1500-1700 UTC Sun on 15610.

AIR, INDIA: received a signal from them around 2120 UTC on 7412 KHz

RAI, ITALY: heard EG at 1938 UTC using 11800, and parallel 9710 KHz.

POLISH RADIO WARSAW: heard a fair to poor signal from them at 2100
UTC on 7270 KHz. (Jim Clair)

R.ALA, RUSSIA: heard fair signalon 7370 KHz at 0025 UTC in

R.ROTTOISE, RUSSIA: (Possible spelling??) changed it's frequency as
of Nov.1st from 9695 to NEW 7230 KHz  from 1600-1700 UTC. (This is
a Rlg station run by the Russian Orthodox church.

KNLS, ALASKA: New Schedule out, EG 0800-0900 on 7365 KHz, and
again 1300-1400 UTC using 7355. (Some JP in EG program)
RU 0900-1000, and 1200-1300 UTC on 7365,and 1400-1500 UTC on 7355 KHz.
CH 1000-1200 UTC on 7365, 1500-1700 UTC 7355, and 1700-1800 UTC
on 6150 KHz.

VOIRI, IRAN: heard at s/on 1130 UTC using 11790 KHz Asian Service,
weak, parallels were 9575, and 11930 KHz.

R.VILNIUS, LITHUANIA: reported 7400 KHz at 0000 UTC in EG was said
to be on one night ONLY. They are on using 7150 KHz for EG to NA
at 0000 with only one parallel found, that of 17605.

R.SOFIA: it has been reported that Bulgaria is now using the NEW
frequency of 6235 for EG to Europe at 1830 UTC.

VOICE OF LEBANON: EG news is now found weekdays 1800-1813 UTC,
music is sometimes played on weekends on the frequency of 6550 KHz.

HCJB, ECUADOR: is now back to using the old R.Fax frequency of 6205
heard at s/off 0830 UTC. They had used this frequency before.

AIR, INDIA: was heard broadcasting to ME Service at 0210 UTC using
11910 KHz.

WFLA, TAMPA 970 AM: hearing there SW relay of MW broadcast in Europe
on 25870 KHz, no times given.

R.PAKISTAN: has changed frequencies for EG to Europe 1700-1800 UTC,
and for FR 1930-2030 UTC to new 9430, parallel 11570 KHz.

UTC replacing 13660 for this time of year.

CROATIAN RADIO: hearing EG 2203-2209 UTC on 1134 mw, 5085, and 6210
KHz. shortwave.

CHINA RADIO INTL: changes frequencies to Europe EG 2000-2055 UTC,
with repeat 2100-2155 UTC on new 6950, parallel 9920 KHz, this is
replacing 11500 KHz.
