R.MIAMI INTL: Address is PO Box 526852, Miami, FL 33152 USA
Telephone # (305) 267-1728. Jeff White says they are ready to sign a
lease on the land, then construct the tranmitter building, put the
antenna up, and reassemble the transmitter (which is semi-assembled
at a warehouse in Miami) They hope to be doing some tests at WRMI
within two months (depending on how long it takes construction workers
to build the building.)

WEWN, ALA. USA: will test on special frequencies rather than the
regular ones they plan to use "on the air" for normal programming.
>From Dec. 28th WEWN will use a limited schedule as they will not have
all four (4) transmitters going yet.

Following from DXPL 11/28
VNG, AUSTRALIA: this time station is now broadcasting on 5 frequencies

Following from Media Network 12/3
R.CENTRAS, VILNIUS, LITHUANIA: was not found on the last Sat. of Nov.
on the usual 9710 KHz at 0700 UTC due to a national energy shortage.
Lithuanian Radio has reduced the broadcast hours of it's 50kw
shortwave transmitter so, it now runs between 1900-2300 UTC instead of
"round the clock". The Mediumwave frequency of 666 KHz is now "off the
air" between 2300-0400 UTC.
There is a growing cost of airtime in Lithuania, and limited
budgets for public broadcasting. R.Centras' broadcast for Nov.28th
was cancelled because 9710 was "off the air". There is some doubt as
to whether the next EG transmission on December 26th at 0700 UTC will
go ahead. R.Centras says that finances to hire the airtime are there
but, no word is being given as to whether the transmitter will be
operational in the morning.

TWR, SRI LANKA: was to start shortwave here in Sept. 1992 but, had
quite a lot of problems with the 12.5kw transmitter. Finally they
ironed out all those problems, and on Wed. Nov.25th they (TWR) started
transmmitng on 6035 from 1300-1530 UTC.
A 100kw transmitter is on order. The agreement to allow this will
be signed at anytime between SLBC, and TWR. The 12.5 transmitter will
be testing in EG, Tamil, and Sinhala with IDs, and music. Once regular
service is started the languages served will be Tamil, and Sinhala.

VOICE OF INDONESIA: heard last on 9675 with 250kw to Europe from 1800-
2000 UTC. The pararllel to 9675 is 11752 KHz. (Tom Sundstrum)

The EG transmission goes out from 0000-0015 UTC on 11938 with a
rebroadcast 1200-1215 UTC. FR follows at 1215-1230, and 0015-0030 UTC
also on 11938 KHz.

HCJB, ECUADOR: is being heard with good reception on the NEW SSB
frequency of 17490 from 0100-0230 UTC in Southeast Asia.

R. NACIONAL DEL PARAGUAY: found using 9735 KHz at 2300 UTC heard with
good reception in Europe.

KSDA, GUAM: Guam was hit with yet another Typhoon (Typhoon Gay) this
last of November 1992. No major damage was done on Guam. Arthur Cushen
observed that the Marshall Islands substained most of the damages.
Arthur further reports that KSDA is operating in EG at 0100 UTC on
15610; Saturday, and Sunday broadcasts begin at 0200 UTC on 13720;
KSDA again broadcasts at 1600 UTC on 11980; with Saturday, and Sunday
beginning at 1700 UTC on the same 11980; Lastly, they have a daliy
broadcast going out at 2300 UTC on 15610 KHz.

R.NEW ZEALAND INTL: New Zealand Sports coverage is generally on 9505
KHz past 1210 UTC. Before that time the frequency RNZI uses 9700 KHz.
RNZI is installing new areial systems allowing broader frequency range
above 17 MHz, and below 9 MHz. They have already indicated they'll
use 6035 KHz from 1200-1800 UTC next winter in New Zealand.

INDIA: New shortwave coverage was noted from a southern state in
India, at the Thirvanantahpuram site testing on 5010, 9650, and
6085 KHz anytime from 0130-1600 UTC. 6085 heard with an excellent
signal at 0230 UTC with regional tests, local announcements, music,
and EG announcements.

TWR, BONAIRE: The following is part of a interview with Chuck Roswell
by Ken Mc Harg of HCJB, Quito, Ecuador.

<Ken> Is it true that TWR, Bonaire is leaving shortwave?
<Chuck> Yes! We are termitating shortwave broadcasts as of July 1st
 1993.
<Ken> Why is TWR leaving shortwave from Bonaire?
<Chuck> It's a mixture of listenership, and economics. Basically our
shortwave broadcasts have been carried by the programmers paying for
the Mediumwave. They've received shortwave in addition to the
 mediunwave broadcasts.
On July 1st TWR is lauching a satelite network of AM-FM stations
 in Latin America.
<Ken> What is going to happen to MW on 800 KHz? I heard that
 tranmitter time is being reduced.
<Chuck> Yes! Effective January 3th we will reduce shortwave to 6
hours each transmitter (a total of 12 hours). Mediumwave will also
 be reduced.
<Ken> Will "MORNING SOUNDS" still be on MW ?
<Chuck> Yes! but, on a shorter time length.
<Ken> What will happen to the transmitters on Bonaire?
<Chuck> The inefficient 250kw transmitter will be dismantled. The
50kw one is staying so as to be brought up "on the air" to test it
for any potential buyer.
<Ken> Will "BONAIRE WAVELENGTHS continue?
<Chuck> Yes! till the last Saturday in June, 1993.
<Ken> What will happen to you after TWR, Bonaire's shortwave
service closes?
<Chuck> I could be going to one of TWR's transmitting sites in
Guam, Sri Lanka, or Swaziland.
