Information on EBONE Information

In the absence of more detailed and adequate tutorial information this
paper intends to point out where relevant EBONE information can be
found.

EBONE information is stored at archive.ripe.net and info.nordu.net.
The information is possible to retrieve with anonymous ftp from the

Directory docs

    Contains finalized EBONE documentation.

    93-pressrelease.txt
    Presentation of the continuation of EBONE-92 as EBONE-93.

    The ebone-92.doc 
    The original proposal that was used for the first gathering of
    interested organizations to start up the EBONE effort

    ebs-operations.txt and ebs-operations.ps
    EBONE core site operations recommendations, i.e. how the EBONE
    backbone shall be operated.

    fact-sheet.txt
    The text of the EBONE PR brochure.

    implementaion-plan.txt
    The initial EBONE implementation plan containing the various
    aspect defined to make EBONE happen.

    line-capacities.txt
    Estimation of needed core line capacities assuming certain number
    of RBS connections.

    speach-inet92.txt
    The text to a EBONE presentation done at the INET-92 conference in
    Kobe, Japan.

    topology-1993.txt
    Ascii map of the EBONE-93 planned topology.

    This directory contains EBONE working documents.

    management-plan.txt
    A generic EBONE Management and Operations Plan currently being
    under development.

    routing-model.txt
    The specfication of the EBONE internal and external routing
    principles.

    service-specification.txt
    Specification of the EBONE Services.

Directory maps:

    Contains maps of various parts of the EBONE and its related
    regional connected networks. All files named <city>-ebs.[spec|ps]
    is a map of the EBS installation in that city. Other maps are

    aconet-dual-rbs.ps
    The Austrian (ACOnet) dual homed RBS installation.

    ebone-92.basic.ps
    The EBONE core installations and its routing configuration.

    ebone-topology.1993
    The EBONE core and regional connected networks.

Directory mou

    Contains the EBONE Memorandum of Understanding signed by EBONE
    members. The annexes gives various lists of the members as well as
    the EBONE topology.

    As the MoU was produced using some DeskTop editor also the BinHex
    format has been stored in this archive.
