We have just completed a series of maintenance operations last week-end,
which should help us in giving you a brighter and louder signal despite the
bad propagation conditions lately.

Here is an update on what is coming next on the week-end of the 26-27 of
February, 1994, on IRRS-Shortwave on 7,125 kHz (41 metre) to Europe:

____________________________________________________________________________

On Saturday Feb. 26th, SWR Switzerland will be on air at 12 UTC with a new
programme called "Calypso Radio", with a relay from ... the Caribean Island
of Calypso. Plenty of reggae, sunshine, and "calipso" music from this new
free-radio relay. A one hour broadcast repeated next Saturday March 5, at
the same time.

(SWR Switzerland : each Saturday 12 UTC / 13 CET on 7,125 kHz).

As a reminder, SWR Switzerland has just recently started relaying programs
over IRRS-Shortwave on behalf of a number of "free-radio" program producers.
Copy of our latest press release on the subject is available on request.

____________________________________________________________________________

Plenty of Italian and AC music will follow each Saturday afternoon, with
the latest news on Yugoslavia, Somalia, and other activities at the United
Nations from New York.

(Saturday afternoon: from 13-18:15 UTC; religious programs start at 18:15)

____________________________________________________________________________

Being the last week-end in the month, there will be no "fresh" edition of
the Hello There programme - our DX and listeners' mailbag program - on the
26-27th. As usual we shall relay the usual monthly program from UNESCO in
English and French starting at 08:30 UTC on Sunday.

(UNESCO Radio: The Mapping of Science at 08:30UTC / 09:30 CET on 7,125 kHz)
____________________________________________________________________________

Our religious broadcaster Universal Life has just recently started new
transmissions in different languages from Wurtzburg, Germany, and exactly:
each Sat at 08:30 UTC in Czech, at 10:30 in German (effective March 5), and
every Sunday at 07 UTC in Russian, 10:30 in German, 15 UTC in English.
____________________________________________________________________________

And this is all for this week from Milano, Italy.

For more information or a copy of our latest program/frequency or language
schedule - or just to send your comments - send us a message.
And do not forget that we are now on the air DAILY (and not just on the
week-end) from 06-21 UTC on 7,125 kHz to Europe. Stay tuned!

Best 73,

Alfredo
