 I don't know.... I think anyone stupid and/or obnoxious enough to
post their own personal irritating hobby horse to hundreds of
different groups isn't going to be self-aware enough to understand
what satire is. I think the only groups that I subscribe to that don't
have this stupid posting in it are local groups and moderated groups.
But I must admit that it is nice how rare this sort of thing happens.
Given the size and anarchic nature of UseNet, I suppose it is
gratifying to think that this doesn't happen that often, really.

 Ob.games.int-fiction: In an ancient version of Spellbreaker that I
played on an Apple //c recently, I noticed that if you type "Thanks"
the game responds with "How do you do that with a c  juoemvdtxcarpet
can laround?" Kind of neat. Infocom seemed to be pretty good when it
came to QA, usually.
