Sorcerer did have an infotater in the very first packaging, which was a
long, thing box all in gray (as opposed to the style infocom adopted later,
which was the box with the booklet attached, and a little cubby hole for all
the fun toys, closed by a lid (as opposed to the one after that, where
everything just slid out of the box. Not as fun)). One of the great packaging
feats of Infocom was the old Sorcerer box. On the outside, the flap that
closed the box was in the shape of an amulet, and the amulet was one of those
cheesy gray metalic paints that kinda looks like a mirror, but you can't make
out any features. It said (something to the affect of) "Gaze into this amulet
and see the face of the next hope of the Council" or something like that. It
was really neat. I much prefered the old style packaging, but I can see why
Infocom decided to change. Everything was much more organized with the second
box shape. Enough on aesthetics. Bye!
